I just wanted to add an observation on something I’ve been noticing lately. I keep seeing or hearing people describing basically anything which isn’t watching Netflix as ‘work.’ E.g people talking about their 18 hour ‘work day’ which includes stuff like yoga class, dinner with their spouse, reading or meditating. While these things might indirectly benefit their jobs, describing them as work seems bizarre and seems to reflect the attitude you’re describing here.
